God rocks (in the awesome sense, not the stones)

the sunset was so ridiculously gorgeous today. God is such an amazing artist.

i just finished two take home exams (!!!). i did a pretty bad job on both of them, but i'm in the process of choosing not to care about that. just two more hurdles to jump and i'm in the clear. i'm so excited to go home, guys. so. excited.

on another note, i've decided that i'm going to learn how to cook and bake over break. i've recently been experimenting like mad at my dining hall, and i've discovered how great it is to make something new and have it actually be good. yesterday, for instance, i made this killer sandwich -- a provolone and sharp cheese melt with mushrooms, red cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles with hummus on the side. it was a flavor exPLOsion. okay, not so much, but it was pretty darn tasty. so yeah. cooking. i'm looking forward to that.
