my favorite shoes

this really does bring back memories. oh, high school. and oh, college. we're going to be saying oh, college with that same nostalgic weren't-we-cute-and-awkward-back-then tone in a few years. how weird is that?

so this is life. steph's life is crazy right now, as i'm assuming the rest of yours are too. the whole idea of finals is just silly, really. i don't quite understand how the educational establishment can justify forcing everyone to prove their intelletual worth at the very end, when nobody really does care anymore. in all honesty, i am so done with school. so done. it's like that really nice pair of shoes that you finally buy after thinking about it for a while, that you wear and wear and wear because it's your favorite pair, and then after a while, you realize that it's really just an old, beat-up pair of shoes. i think that's what senioritis is. there's that upside, too, where it's also your most comfortable pair of shoes, but all finals make me think of is how dirty and smelly they are.

not to say that i'm depressed about it. really. :) it's just something that needs to get done.

i am, by the way, SUPER EXCITED to go home. college winter break is something that will never, ever get old.
